ALASKA WILDERNESS MISSION GOAL
Alaska Wilderness Missions is designed to provide for men and their families a unique opportunity to experience a short-term construction/mission project in Greatland Alaska in …Bringing Hope to the Next Generation of Alaska’s Youth!
CSF Serves a a Resource Team for the Local Church
Since 1998, when CSF launched Alaska Wilderness Missions, many sportsmen and their family members have participated in Sportsmen’s Prayer Breakfasts events across Alaska. As a vital part to God’s vision for impacting Alaskan residents CSF was called to help existing Alaska Native and non-native ministries to build youth camps where the Christian faith is passed down to the next generation. Men’s ministries in churches from the lower 48 states have found this experience to be life-transforming while building memories that will last a lifetime.
The Great Alaska Sportsmen’s Prayer Breakfast now held each Spring in Soldotna has served as the catalyst for inspiring CSF’s Alaska Wilderness Mission beginning in 2001. The first camp located on Prince of Wales Island was launched and commissioned followed by our current work underway on the Kenai Peninsula.CSF’s long term plans include constructing a transitional outpost on the Kenai Peninsula for the purpose of partnering with existing youth ministries, both Alaska Native and non-native agencies who need construction assistance in building youth camps, churches, parsonages and Christian schools.
CSF was chartered in 1994 as a #501(c) 3 Non Profit Organization as a membership organization and has started over 350 church based chapters across the nation where sportsmen’s outreach banquets and mission projects have resonated with men’s ministries. Equally important to evangelism and missions is the discipling component found in the Great Commission prompting CSF in 2005 to develop the Climbing Legacy Mountain discipling plan.
